This sweet newborn session gives me all the boho, flowery, and natural feels. I absolutely love a sweet baby girl in natural, feminine elements.
When I asked Ashley and Bryan about their story, something that stood out to me the most was their wedding day! I instantly connected with their desire to keep that day, their promise to one another, close and intimate. More than anything that all the fuss of a huge wedding could never reflect how truly meaningful it was to them. And so…they decided to elope to New Zealand! Just the two of them. I can just imagine the joy and intimacy of their beautiful day, only to be made sweeter with the news that they were blessed with the most precious gift to arrive 9 short months later.
Meet the sweetest baby girl, Dylan. Miss Dylan was just 5 days new when she came into the studio. No matter how many times I work with newborns, I am always surprised at how tiny they are! Even at 8lbs, Dylan was so curly and squishy.
We started with photographs with her parents and I could’ve just watched them love on her all day long. When their little baby was placed in their arms, they were immediately in their own little world. Speaking so softly to her, giving soft kisses, and watching one another with so much love. This is how I imagine it should be. Pure Joy, love, and infatuation.
Creating a session just for their sweet newborn is so important to me. I learned that Dylan’s nursery was different shades of grey and coral. I found a gorgeous headband from birdie baby boutique and had a whole plan in mind of how I envisioned the shot. Well, we all know how that goes with a big plan and a newborn. This girl did NOT like being nakey. And you know what? I can’t blame her! So I changed it up and got the cutest shot of her giving us a big gummy yawn.
