I am so excited to be documenting baby Nolan’s bump, arrival, and milestones coming up this year! How sweet it is to be trusted by family to capture these moments. Even sweeter when I get to head to Melbourne to photograph a maternity session AND visit with my family. Stephanie is my cousin… in a not-so traditional way.
You see, a long long time ago, two girls in high school became best friends. Those girls were both of our moms! My “Aunt” Susan is Stephanie’s mom, and so it goes, we are family. That is a friendship anyone would be lucky to have and theirs has lasted a lifetime. Our moms still get together for trips, we go to all the big events such as weddings, baby showers, and all the good things to share in life.
Stephanie asked me to photograph her maternity session as well as baby boy’s newborn, and Watch Me Grow milestones. I can’t wait for all the visits and to see this little guy grow. Big sister Taylin was very excited to show me her baby brother’s room when I visited their home… but even more determined to show me her own! haha!
For their maternity session, we headed to a local park in Melbourne and then went to the downtown area. A smoke-bomb was definitely a must shoot photo and we found the perfect spot under the railroad tracks! The funny part was that these smoke bombs were more like a quick “pop!” and we had 2 seconds to get the shot before the color blew away with the breeze. Luckily they brought 2 and we got the shot!
This mom is gorgeous and I loved exploring a little bit of Melbourne with them. In just a few short weeks I’ll be headed that way again to photograph baby Nolan in his first few weeks of life. Pure sweetness!
