Hilary was a Stingray keeper while I was a Bird keeper at the zoo a few years ago! She contacted me for a family session and I was so glad she did! She was always so pleasant to be around and kind to everyone. We met up in St. Augustine, FL to use some of the historic landmarks as a backdrop.
In the zoo days, I remember watching Hilary’s little belly grow when she was pregnant with her first little girl, now they have a second little girl who just turned 6 months old! Hilary now teaches and loves getting to spend more time with her family. Her girls are cute as could be and even with a little cold, sweet baby girl was giving us smiles and was a trooper. It was so nice to have them spend one of the last precious summer days they had left together with me until it was back to the job and routine of the school year.
During their family session, we started out at the Lightner museum which I quickly realized was a gorgeous spot for photos! Unfortunately, I also quickly realized that you have to have permission to photograph on their property… and so we took a few quick ones and ran along to the next location. I never get tired of looking at the historic beauty that surrounds St. Augustine. The architecture, character, and shops around the town are wonderful. We ran across the street to Flagler College, which of course is just as beautiful. The sun was starting to get high and the temperature rising, but everyone seemed in good spirits during the rest of the shoot. We stuck to the shady areas and explored the college. Those sweet girls loved playing in the water fountain after photos were done as a special treat.
