The Boyd Family Christmas session is here! Ever since my bff Kristine and her family moved back from living several places out west, they have asked me to photograph their family each year. This year, they were hoping to get some Fall photos taken, but life happened and we never got to booking. I suggested doing both Christmas and Fall photos all at once! (Because Florida has it’s perks!)
Last year, we met at the beautiful Kanapaha Gardens and did our first family session together. See that session here: Boyd Family 2016. Their little man, Graham, is a ham and such a sweet boy!
This time around, they came to my studio in Jacksonville for some Christmas card worthy shots, then we went to Blue Cypress Park, which is right across the street!
Creating a snowflake winter wonderland for Graham was so fun! I know the Boyd’s like simple, clean style so I wanted to reflect that with their set up. I opted for all white, white Christmas tree, white snowflakes, and some twinkling lights in the background. But it needed a pop of color and the blanket was perfect! The snowflakes were quite the engineering feet the hang. I wanted the set to have depth and I had a booby-trap of fishing line all above Graham. Adults be warned when coming into my studio! Everything is made for the littles.
I have already decided that the next session I have with the Boyd family, we HAVE to include their Irish Setter, Eoghan! I am envisioning a red wagon, a boy and his dog!
p.s. fake snow is where it’s at when it comes to Christmas photos! They are my equivalent to bubbles in a regular session! It’s so fun to have children react with the set around them.
