Charlotte’s Newborn Session. Jacksonville, FL

February 28, 2018

Baby Charlotte’s Newborn Session was extra special for so many reasons.

Charlotte is my cousin’s baby and her arrival had our whole family excited with anticipation. I am so blessed to have been trusted to photograph her parent’s engagement, wedding, maternity, and now their sweet baby girl. Their St. Augustine maternity session can be viewed here: Monica & Robert’s Maternity Session.

Mom chose pinks, whites, and off-whites for Charlotte’s session and this made me so happy because these are our late grandmother’s favorite colors. She even had flowers that belonged to our grandmother and these are the types of heirlooms I dream of! Incorporating Grandma Murphy’s flowers along with cotton to represent the Georgia cotton-fields made this session so special to me and I hope it did the same for my family. Baby Charlotte is even named after our grandmother with her middle name. When she was born, Charlotte’s grandmother gifted her with her first set of pearls. This baby girl is so loved.

It was also important to the family to incorporate Dad’s job of being a police officer here in Jacksonville. Mom had a tutu and matching headband made to photograph baby with. This Princess is safe in Daddy’s arms.

When your session takes place on a holiday, you know I’m going to have a setup planned to celebrate! Charlotte came to the studio for her newborn session on Valentine’s day! She was the perfect little valentine and no doubt the perfect example of love. With so many details in this session that represent family, Charlotte will always be surrounded with love and support as she grows. I can’t wait to document her 6 month and One Year milestone, but hoping she doesn’t grow too fast. She is the sweetest baby girl.

Here are some of my very favorites from her session.
