From Jacksonville to Hampton, FL. These flower fields are extremely popular this time of year with local photographers.
I had never been to the flower field before and was very excited to have a client specifically request this location for her family’s photography session! From my research, I knew it bloomed in late April, however Dad was leaving on a work trip and it was really important that we get these photos done! Even though we didn’t catch the field in full bloom this go around, I still love it! A little girl in a spring dress with a field of flowers, I mean come on! This is the dream! How fortunate are we to live in a location that offers so many diverse location options! Flower fields, beaches, golf courses, gardens, woods…. all we need are mountains and we are set!
I brought along a few props with me, including my favorite wooden swing. Unfortunately I couldn’t find a spot to hang it safely- definitely bringing longer rope next time! I did bring along my little wicker chair that I used for tea parties when I was Ansley’s age. It was a hit!
Ansley loved picking the flowers and running through the long grass. We spent about an hour getting images with just mom, just dad, the family, and portraits of Ansley. It was a beautiful evening and not too many bugs yet! This can definitely put a damper of photo sessions once the weather starts getting warmer.
I am so excited to photograph at this field again next year. I might even have to drag Daniel out for a few photos of the two of us! Definitely worth the drive.
